I love being a dentist - every day is so exciting, meeting wonderful people and working with my fantastic team. It's just the greatest feeling being able to give someone their confidence back when we create a beautiful smile for them. When people tell us how we have transformed their lives with our dentistry I just think I have the best job in the world!
I have been married to Fiona for 22 years, and we have been together since the age of 16. We have two boys, George and Henry, and one dopey Lurcher called Erin. I am always desperately trying to keep fit, but love cooking and eating just too much!

Our In-House Implantologist
Dr Chris Waith joined us at the Cahill Dental Care Centre in October 2009.
Since then he has helped to accommodate our increase in Implantology treatment and introduced treatment under sedation to the practice which we were previously unable to offer.
Chris graduated with honours from Manchester University in 2002. He also won the Edgar Houghton restorative prize and the BDA young clinician award for Manchester. After VT he worked as a member of the Central Manchester maxillo team for 3 years during which time he passed the MFDS examination.
His maxillofacial work continued at locum registrar level for a year at Walsgrave (Coventry) and the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. After 18 months as a staff grade (OMFS) at the Countess of Chester, he became Speciality Dentist in Oral Surgery at Manchester Royal Infirmary and Manchester Dental Hospital.
He now lectures and is a clinical tutor in Oral Surgery and sedation to Msc and undergraduate students. Chris is a SAAD qualified seditionist and has completed the TC Ucer Implant certificate. He is a mentor for the Astra system and is active in postgraduate education both learning and teaching.
He is a member of the British Association of Oral Surgeons, SAAD and the ADI.
Chris has been placing implants for over 5 years and currently places approximately 200 per year.
Chris is always looking to advance his career and knowledge further and is currently studying towards the Diploma in Implantology at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh.
Outside of work Chris is an active supporter of the Bridge 2 Aid charity. He visited Tanzania in February 2009 to train local officers in basic surgery assessment and oral surgery skills.
